The Earth Prediction Innovation Center (EPIC) will facilitate greater alignment between NOAA, academia, and research centers by removing boundaries and expanding avenues for collaboration. EPIC will provide the infrastructure to advance the Unified Forecast System (UFS), the community-based operational code base, by providing a common community development environment, software engineers, and tools to partner with the community for the benefit of the Nation.
EPIC currently funds an exciting array of projects that involve collaboration between NOAA and academic institutions.
